well I don't think there is a need for long notice for an alpha, it's just a 
svn snapshot of something that might be working or might be terribelly 
broken.

Well we'll generate some buzz, alpha or not, at the same time of KDE or not. 
But I expect that with the first alpha of KDE4 a lot more people will play 
with the whole stuff than with a lonely KOffice alpha. And that's a bit sad 
that they won't find a Koffice2 with their KDE4 alpha. But that's your call.
