Note that kdchart can do all that too, with the possible exception of the 
vertical chart (not sure of 2.0 there). The advantage of using kchart / 
kdchart instead of the one from kdeedu is that kchart will be able to 
read/write OpenDocument before 2.0 is out.

I recommend using kchart or kdchart instead.
