At the moment I'm at the progress to create common library for kpresenter and 
kivio as both apps have a lot in common. So I would prefer to wait with this 
inclusion until the library is finished. The library will have e.g. a common 
page class which then will be used for kpresenter and kivio. With this in 
place all needed in kivio and kpresener will be in one place and we can avoid 
a lot of code duplication.

I did not yet have a deep look at the patch but I will provide feedback when 
the library is finished. 

I will include your fix for not properly showing the canvas during the day.
