I agree, its better to create a filter KWD <-> ODT
Its harder to create an importer for ODT than for the old format, and due to 
my not knowing about the structures odf importing uses (I only got an 
introduction at aKademy) I went ahead and created an kword-1.x importer.

So, KWord can, at this time, not read any ODF. It cant write anything either.
I'd love to have someone work on either of these.
This means that I still very much require the old format loader to be present, 
but in 2.0 I think it can be removed. Provided we have a filter.
