Ferdinand,
 From the message, it appears you have the following paths priority at the 
link time:

-L/usr/local/lib64 -L/usr/lib64

Maybe you've got another version of libpqxx (obviously, older) in 
/usr/local/lib64? It was the case on my system at least once.
