Too bad, quite likely the release came to late for the Edgy freeze.

Theoretically KOffice could include their own copies as long as the system 
wide installed ones get preference.
We support this for ISVs that need to support older distributions.

However, KOffice is packaged by the distributors, so if they want this 
functionality to work, they'll just add a dependency or recommendation on 
their xdg-utils package.
