Here is try 2....
www.piggz.co.uk/kexi.tar.gz

extract to filters/kspread/ and add to Makefile.am subdirs.

Then its as simple as:
kspread > open > something.kexi > select all tables/queries you want, and 
optionally a custom query and click 'import' (oops, i should change that :)
