Ah, okay. But before you recheckout all the stuff, simply make the parent dir 
a svn dir. Just enter it and checkout a dir without files non-recusively, 
e.g. 'svn up -N $KDESVN/trunk'. Should work. At least it did for me to 
achieve commits to branches/ and trunk/ in on go.
