Hi,

I don't consider the spec as ambiguous here. If it was, I would have agreed 
with you, that we should follow the OpenOffice way.

The "default cell style" is defined for the column. All other column 
attributes - visibility, width, optimize width, break before/after - apply to 
the whole column. Same applies for row attributes.
The "default cell style" should be the only column attribute, which acts on 
the the used area only?! No, I don't think so.

Could you point me to the ambiguity you see?
