The new options in the desktop files should make sure the templats are 
properly sorted so the 'blank' is the first one.
This makes sure the user will have that template selected on startup 
anyway.

There are user tests underway to see how this pans out.

Note that adding new widgets to do something that the default settings 
already support tends to have only negative connotations...
