Basically, you shouldn't use formula's here. Especially in krita, where
we have cmyk paint devices, going through QColor will introduce many
problems. In 2.0, we should use Krita's cmm in Krita, Karbon and KWord
(at least) -- and then we can use lcms for the conversions when and where
needed.

I tried to use the formula's too, when I started on Krita, but it didn't
suffice.
