Someone on slashdot claimed that the reason oo required 3 minutes to load the 
doc was that it was trying (and retrying) unsuccessfully to load the 
not-installed JRE.  Go into the oo settings and turn off Java and it loads 
*much* faster.  Don't know if this is true.  Anyone?
