After searching a bit harder here is what I found;

- both trunk and 1.4.2 of kspread load the doc in the same sad state
- text alignment, text formatting (bold) were not loaded
- all cells were too small and wrongly aligned leading the text-based cells
  to be non-displayable.
- Formulas were incorrectly imported
- outlines (borders of cells) were showng on lots of cells that did not have
  them defined in the source doc.


I am in no means an opendocument expert, but I expect kspread to give the
same amount of error messages in loading from what kword does.  For that reason
(and that I glanced over the xml) I don't think the problem is fully on the
open Office side.

Writing the doc (in opendoc format) takes quite some time and kspread didn't manage
to load that new doc in the 5 minutes I let it run on it.

IMO kspread currently is nowhere near opendoc ready. :(
