Currently, KOffice has a very clear niche in my own household: my youngest two 
daughers write their stories with KWord, the eldest uses KWord and KSpread 
for her homework and my wife uses KSpread to keep track of the wordcount for 
her novels. And I use KWord for theology papers. I guess that's pretty close 
to what Apple wants to achieve with their office suite.
