Yes, some of the esstix fonts are broken with Qt 3.3.x, not sure when it 
became broken, but
http://lists.kde.org/?t=110062087100007&r=1&w=2 contains a little bit more 
info about it.

And also it has a patch for fixing the reporting of missing fonts, and trying 
to choose a default font that works. I never got an ok to commit that, so is 
it ok to commit now?
