Somebody showed me a few days ago that there is a calculator in kspread
(based on an older version of kcalc from kdeutils). I wonder what the
reason is for having two calculators in KDE.

There seem to be some changes in the kspread-kcalc, that provide
communication with kspread. Wouldn't it be possible/nicer to port them
back to the kcalc in kdeutils and stop the development of two calculators?

Two years ago there was a discussion on this list, and it seems most
people agreed on removing kcalc from kspread. What happened since then?
