For KWord, yes, the bug was solved. However, the same tab is used with KSpread
with the difference of the unit being selectable by the user with a combo.
In this configuration, the dialog is still a bit too big (this is also true
for KPresenter I think). It's just that even if the bug was reported for
KWord only, I have checked the other apps.
The only one (after these two patches) remaining too big is the Variations
dialog box in Krita. However it is not the same problem and I do not understand
enough to work on it: it fits the screen (OK and Cancel are fine. It can
be reduced to as small as you want, but what is inside cannot be seen in
its entirety and there is no scroll bars. I do not know if it is because
it does not inherit from KDialog but from something called super The code
is in koffice/krita/plugins/variations/dlg_variations.cpp and the widget
is in koffice/krita/plugins/variations/wdg_variations.cpp
