I'm confused - what difference do you make between merged cells
and being able to center text across several columns (which effectively
means that the text isn't contained in a single cell, but in several "merged" cells)?
(This is more a user question than a developer question, since I'm not
really a KSpread developer; apologies if the question is stupid).
