I am not really firm on this I am afraid. One of my pet projects is to
create KDE popup dialogs from XMLGUI descriptions. I hope that I become
more accustomed to the XMLGUI if I progress on this further, after that I
think I could see if I can help with the necessary changes in KOffice
components.

I don't think I can currently be of much help in implementing. I would
like to take part in any discussions about any new designs. My basic
interest is to get Postscript like rendering (i.e. high-resolution
floating point / implicit transformations, e.g. for components) /
Postscript like vector paths) and vector editing done. Any designs which
attempt to include these features are especially welcome.
Another thing I would like to see are non-rectangular shaped components
and layered components, say for watermarks in KWord.

If a good design is created I hope to be able to help in implementing it.

Regards
Dirk
