Actually the format doesn't matter, as long as it's XML. My data tool will 
just modify the text, not the tags.

This would require a sentence boundary detection inside KWord, and I guess 
it doesn't have that (well, in the statistics function it does, but that 
only counts the sentences). For example, periods after abbreviations have 
to be ignored (but not always -- heuristics are required to solve that 
problem).

How difficult is it to give XML (richtext or whatever) to my data tool? Any 
easy way to add this, maybe so easy that I can do it myself? (I'm not 
going to commit this to CVS if it's not a clean solution, but I need it 
for personal use).
