This is not completely right: Using some dirty trick it *is* possible
to get colour maps.

trick: KD Chart now supports so-called "cell-specific properties" where
the user can specify some properties (like the bar colour, line style,
marker type...) for each and every cell differently - if she whishes
to do that.

This property concept is both simple and flexible, e.g. allowing to
build 'hierarchical' chains of property sets...

Using this one could easily get colour maps: just draw a line chart
with invisible lines and no default markers, but use custom markers
for every data cell.  So you could specify the marker style and size
and color for every cell and (after some experimenting) it should be
possible to get nice color maps.  :-))
