Looks good, but then KoDocumentInfoDlg should be fixed as well.
Currently it 
1) reads from "emaildefaults" (is this still to be used)?
2) writes into kofficerc/[Author] when the user closes the dialog - exactly
for the reason you mention, so that he/she doesn't have to insert the data
every time (so I'm a bit surprised that you say they have to enter it every time...)
