For example, IIRC, OO inherits the > page-oriented approach of MS Word: how would one fit KWord into that? KWord knows about pages too. And OO knows about text frames too. I see nothing that prevents using the same *file format*. Note that file format doesn't mean that both programs have to be designed the same way, nor work the same way. It's "just" a matter of modelling the saved data the same way. > P.S. And my goal is to find a way to unite all this into a single file format. Please voice any such "differences" you may find after reading the description of both file formats - I'm sure it can all be solved in due course. - -- David Faure -- faure@kde.org, dfaure@klaralvdalens-datakonsult.se Qt/KDE/KOffice developer Klarälvdalens Datakonsult AB, Platform-independent software solutions -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+WfxS72KcVAmwbhARAvGpAJ9COqZzmR1R5Gl5cHhNj5KFAHZDrwCeMu8A sCyWP0QYa6EQKCYHSeieVLM= =pUlt -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ koffice-devel mailing list koffice-devel@mail.kde.org http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice-devel
