Summary: Associating file types with all supported filetypes
           Product: koffice
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Slackware Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: koffice-devel@kde.org
        ReportedBy: frans.englich@telia.com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

(are not running 3.1, actually 3.0.1 but wanted to report it anyway so..)

KWord version is 1.2.1

Alot of KOffice apps support many different file formats but don't get associated \
with them. A novice user which want to open his/her ms doc file can't because "it's \
not supported". I suggest all supported filetypes should be associated with it \
respective app at install. (so people get the impression that there _is_ support)

cheers,
Frans
