In kdenonbeta there exist a project called kpainter, which is aimed for
advanced graphics, as e.g. defined in SVG. The project is in early stages of
development, so
feedback and ideas are welcome.

The idea is that hopefully it can become some kind of defualt rendering API
for KOffice.
