All the koffice applications are set up as dynamically loaded libraries which 
aren't technically part of the actual kspread or kword executable.  But as 
soon as the program is started the library is loaded so if you type "break 
'main()'" then when it breaks at that point you can set breakpoints elsewhere 
in the kspread code.

Or, just run the program in gdb without a breakpoint and then once it's 
started, ctrl+c the console window and set the breakpoint and then continue.
