For sure KWord doesn't use the NoWrap mode. There's always some wrapping.

Yun-Ta: try running the Qt example for qtextedit:
cd <qt directory>/examples/textedit
./textedit 

Does it show the bug?

If not, it's a KoTextFormatter bug - I suspect it is. With a test document I
should be able to fix it.
