IMHO PDF is some "write-only" format, i.e. it is created for later viewing, only. You throw away much too much meta information, which cannot be easily restored later. Besides, PDF is inherently multi-paged, and you don't really want to put the content of multiple pages into one Karbon page. Other office components, like KWord, may be interested in the text, bt can't handle the graphics anyway. If you use PDF in Adobe Illustrator > 7, you should be aware that you lock yourself in. The exchange file format capabilities of the AI format ends somewhere between AI88 and AI3 ...
