Take your time, David. Surely many people will be very happy with better and 
more stable khtml+kjs for 3.1. Btw, KOffice 1.3 is still far away :-P
As for changing shadow behaviour, I don't feel quite bold to modify KWord at 
the moment, not because I don't want to contribute but just because I'm not 
familiar with the internals. Hopefully Laurent will be able to do that, 
otherwise I'll see what I can do.

As expected, it's "Highlight color" in OpenOffice.
