Sorry, what I wrote was clumsy. What I meant was that there is no QIODevice 
ready to use yet.

Yes, but I do not think that it is work the work. The VM allocator uses a 
KTempFile, so I can use it directly too and have a QIODevice for free.

In any case, with this serious bug in QShared and with QShared uses alll over 
QT, I do not know how useful it is to try to gain some memory if elsewhere 
they are giant leaks. (Each QImage or QPixmap create each one shared object. 
This shared object is never deleted. So as far as I can overview the problem, 
we probably have a leak at each drawing of a picture in KPresenter.)
