Over-writing on install is not possible. Reason: package conflicts.

As for updating KDE 3.0.x, well, we have already let pass 3.0.0 and 3.0.1. As 
far as I have understood, 3.0.2 is not really planned.

That is how I see it! However I am not KOffice's project manager, that is 
David Faure's task...
