I have tried that vertically arranged boxes before, however it really
looks ugly, at least for me. The dialog is not so wide, but it occupies
too much vertical space, i.e too tall.

This is not even better.

If there're still some other objections, I work on that. If not, I'll
happily leave it as it is now and move on. I must do that quickly, before
Thomas posts again :-P

Let's make KSpread as beauty as it can.
