It's not about opening, opening works in any case, as it's easy to keep 
compatibility for the old format. The problem is writing a file with a new 
version and opening it in the old version. As we can't manipulate the code of 
the old version we have to know what to do on writing.

No, I think Nicolas got me :-)

So far I'm still trying to get the needed changes done and "bugfree", this 
stuff is a bit messy...
