My first guess is that the clipboard is filled with an xml text that includes
a 
<TEXT> </TEXT>
QT is so nice to then tell me that there is nothing in between, so I get an
empty text when parsing that XML. This is since blank space is considered no
content in QTs XML parsing.
IMVHO this should be fixed in QT.
Anyway the right fix would be to hack the xml writing in kotext and insert 
a &#32; when a single space is encountered..

I don't know where the XML is created..
