Hi!

As I'm already quite happy with the progress I made on that
new filter stuff and basic importing and exporting works, I
thought it's a good idea to break KOffice today.

I'll commit the stuff I have here right now and disable all
the filters from compilation. Then I'll start porting the
"simple" file to file filters, one after the other.

This is what remains to be done:
1) Fix/Test KoShell loading
2) Implement support for document -> file and file -> document
filters (it's not as much work as it looks like ;)
3) Port all the filters. If you want to help out with porting
filters please write a short mail to tell us which filter
you plan to port to avoid duplicated work.
"Porting" sounds like a lot of work, but for most of the
   filters it will be trivial.
For examples how it can be done please wait for my first commits
in that area (soon to come).
4) Port Converter (tool)
5) Implement support for embedded usage of filters. I didn't do
that up to now as it would have been a hack like the "old"
solution. IMVHO we need to take a closer look at KoStore and
friends to find a sensible solution. We should also take into
account that this is supposed to change in the near future,
when we switch to the unified storage model (OpenOffice stuff).
[Did we reach any consensus, yet? Thomas?]
6) Fix the bugs :))
Seriously, I expect it to work at least in "normal" cases. If
you find bugs please report them (directly to me if you want to,
or on bugs.kde.org for the koffice package).
7) Check/imporve the error handling.

Thanks for your patience,
Werner
