Hi,

finally I managed to compile kchart using egcs 2.91.66.
The error was triggered in KDChartAxesPainter, in the function
calculateLabelTexts();
As I commented everything out starting with the line "KDChartData 
finis(....); it compiled. As soon as I included this single line again the 
error happened again, also when changing the syntax to a dynamic variable or 
whatever.
Well, finally I compiled this single file without -O2 and it worked !
The rest compiled fine with -O2 .
Can we have special compiler options for a single file ?
