Well; this contains X11 specific stuff; so I am not sure we should do that in
KWord. (or KDE for that matter).

Could you tell me when a font is returning -1 for its size; I have sent a 
little program to the list a couple of days ago which shows the font sizes
for all fonts in pixels _and_ points. I am not aware of any problems you 
describe...

ps. please check if you have an up-to-date QT as much has been fixed in the 
3.0.1 release.
