Probably. Question is choosing the right one.
Looks like we have the standard (iana-compliant, vnd-*) naming and the
commonly used (application/msword) naming.

date: 2000/10/30 18:57:59;  author: pbrown;  state: Exp;  lines: +1 -1
added application/msword counterpart to application/vnd.ms-word, flip flopped the \
extensions associated with the excel one too.  This reflects real world usage vs. \
what the standards actually said.

I guess the "real world" idea here is webservers (from which we get Content-Type
headers) and maybe other environments (anyone can check what Gnome uses ?)

If this is indeed true, then maybe we'd be better off deleting the vnd.* variants.
I know that's the IANA-compliant name, but looks like the world isn't there yet ;)
