Hi!

I finally found a few hours to work on KOffice and I started
to implement this multi-filter thingy. In order to do that I
had to add a "weight" property to the .desktop files. While I
was at it I changed the name of the other properties (i.e. from
Import to X-KDE-Import).

All the filtering is still handled by "old" code, so it all should
still work after this changes. As I just did it with a short Perl
statement I'm not 100% sure everything survived it.

I tested a few filters and they work, so it can't be that bad :)

Note: When the new code is in place and working I'll remove the
"Implemented" property from the .desktop files.

Regarding the new concept I have one question: If we finally are
able to support wrappers around other filters (e.g. open office is
able to do bacht-mode conversions) we have to check if these
"filters" are available at runtime.
This means we somehow have to open a library, invoke some small method
which checks if the "worker" application is in place and usable. If
not, this filter will be disabled.
Now the question: Do we want to have a separate (ultra small) library
for that, or do we want to put that into the filter library and add
another "entry point"?

Is there any better way than loading a few libs? As we need a runtime
check I fear not.

Ciao,
Werner

P.S. In case you wonder - I committed silently ;)
