No, I care. With all due respect to the other participants in this thread (and 
I know some of them put more into KDE than me, at least!): I measure 
contributions to the *filters* by the committed code. In the spirit of open 
source, we must wait until someone comes up with better code before we 
abandon the old stuff!

If I had a penny for everyone who said they would help me write a better word
