Ok, I wasnt't referring to the snapshots, but to the official release tarballs.

I think so. There's not much point there anyway.
I mean, either you regularly download snapshots, or you use anoncvs (from scratch
or from a release tarball).
Note that it's not only "removing vs keeping", for release we need to "anonymize" the
CVS subdirs. Given how long the snapshot creation already takes, I don't feel like
convincing coolo to do the same with snapshots.
