It's been done for KWord too.
Thomas: what redundant info are you talking about ?
Beware of the idea of removing attributes with "default" value from a paraglayout's
XML element. Due to the "default to the style's layout" thing, the defaults are not the
ones you'd think (and it broke kword at some point). And the problem is that if we
omit the layout items that match the style, when saving, it makes the task quite
harder for export filters (they need to start understanding styles etc., which isn't the case
for simple export filters). Tricky.
