In Mandrake binaries (RPMs), there's a problem, because mandrake puts rpms in \
/usr/share/applnk-mdk, but koffice wants to find them in /usr/share/applnk. This \
causes the error message (if you are not upgrading from previous version of kofice):


                    koffice (lib kofficecore): ERROR: Couldn't find the native
                    MimeType in kword's desktop file. Check your installation ! 

The fix:

mkdir ~/.kde/share/applnk-mdk


cp /usr/share/applnk/Office/ ~/.kde/share/applnk-mdk -r
