However, do not be surprised if you need to update other packages to be able to update QT. Note also that for KOffice 1.1 beta, you need at least KDE 2.1, any previous version will not work (not even KDE 2.1 beta.) Have a nice day/evening/night! -----Original Message----- From: Heiko Garrelts [SMTP:hgarrelts@web.de] Sent: Friday, April 27, 2001 11:09 AM To: koffice@kde.org Subject: Koffice does not start/contributing Hi I'm a KDE user and after many years of using this fine desktop I decided to contribute to it. I wanted to help finding bugs in Koffice. So I downloaded the new beta1.1. But the applications don't start. I always get this message after installing the SuSE Linux 6.4 RPMs: heiko@heiko:/opt/kde2/bin > ./kword kword: error in loading shared libraries: /opt/kde2/lib/libkofficecore.so.1: undefined symbol: qt_generate_epsf__Fb heiko@heiko:/opt/kde2/bin > Only Kugar is able to start. What can I do? I also have a question about finding bugs. Of course I don't want to report bugs which are already known. Is there a special Koffice bug database or can I use http://bugs.kde.org? Thank you for the help and for the fantastic Koffice. Heiko Garrelts
