There is NO intent to fast-save documents from any koffice app. Perhaps you 
are simply misinterpreting the desire to be able to read fast-saved MS Word 
documents into kword?

By the way, it is an oversimplification to say that MS encrypts its files. 
The word file format is rather convoluted - but this is not encryption. There 
is an optional password protection facility, but this does not affect the 
underlying file format.

Sorry, this is just plain incorrect - we have not forgotten you. Only a tiny 
fraction of the KDE developer population works on MS Office filters. At the 
moment the number is, I think, less than one.
