I think the kgantt you can find on apps.kde.com was part of some plans for a 
kproject. You can look at apps.kde.com for the author. Then there were two 
south-african programmers who asked me for tutorials etc. because they wanted 
to write a kproject - I gave them some links but have not heard from them 
since. The third one I don't remember, but there was a time when starting a 
kproject project was nearly as common as writing an IRC client :)
