This is a typo. I'll correct it.

Well, I changed the file format while porting KIllustrator to
QDom, but I don't know how to write a dtd :} Anyone?

No. This is legal XML, AFAIK. You can store "plain text" this
way and you don't have to encode the entities (<, >, &, ").
