As I have taken the urgent task of making the HTML filter usefull, the 
AbiWord filter will remain in the status of the 31th January 2001 for some 
time.

The current AbiWord filter is able to import and export simple files with 
text and character-based formatting. Any formatting based on paragraphs or 
pages, tables and images is lost. See the status file for a more precise 
description of what else this filter cannot do!

Until the new version of KWord is available, I will only make bug fixes on 
what this filter is already supposed to do well. However, if someone is 
really using this filter please do tell, in particular if you find that you 
miss a (simple) functionnality.

Please note: the filter has been tested in interaction with AbiWord for GTK 
(therefore not the GNOME version).
