Thomas,

I tried several ways of intrepreting multiple spaces on text import but none
of them worked because there is no consistancy in the use of multiple spaces
in plain text. Everyone has their own reason for using multiple spaces. If
you assume that multiple spaces are used in place of tabs, then you get the
mess that was disabled in November. Fix that, and you mess up someone else's
document. Plain text lacks any definitive markup and I have given up on
guessing what the writer intended with multiple spaces. It's as though you
need different filters for different people.

As far as converting tabulated columns, I tried that and got hung up on the
table markup in kword. I set that aside and will do some debugging at some
future time.
