As I hinted in my note, I completely agree with this idea. But, at the 
moment, I appear to be the only one doing commits for this stuff. and it 
would be a pain for me to do things the proper way (especially as it is not 
possible to verify the links via webcvs for hours). As soon as anyone else 
becomes active, I'd encourage them to have their status file moved to the 
right directory (a quick note to davidf seems to work for me!) and update the 
link in the index.html to point to the status file via webcvs.
